EARTHENWARE / Made by raw materials, often shaped with the hands.
A hand-building pottery workshop with artist and maker, Connie Augoustinos.

Our guests moved and moulded as they learnt the craft of pottery from experienced maker Connie Augoustinos, to create a unique stem vase, hand-built with stoneware clay. Typically in a course format over a number of weeks, this was a unique opportunity to create something authentically and individual in one sitting, learning simple ceramic hand-building techniques from a professional ceramic artist.

Guests enjoyed a glass of sparkling while creating their own bud vessel under the direction of Connie. They also took home some floral tips and tricks from us at Hygge Studio, on how to fill other vessels with dried blooms.

This was the perfect opportunity for beginners to learn in a relaxed setting, for friends to play with clay, or for pottery masters to perfect their art in a new inviting space with other like minded individuals.

Guests left their handmade creations with us at the end of the evening, to be fired, glazed and kept safe until they were ready for collection the following fortnight. Participants were also able to select from our dried bloom range, carrying their precious vessel home in a Hygge canvas bag.
