It’s easy to forget the importance of our role in connecting our children with nature, so we created a unique opportunity for parents and children to spend valuable time together getting their hands dirty while participating in a sensory workshop by Nature Play SA.

The outside world shapes our kid’s development through experiences that they have, by using their five senses—hearing, sight, smell, taste, and touch.  Drawing a child's attention to the five senses and discussing them increases understanding of and communication about the world around us.

Two different sensory activities were available for kids to engage in: Nature Potions and tinkering and Loose Parts Play. Parents were able to join in with their child, or take a moment to sip on a hot drink and have a chat to the other adults.
